The Christmas Semifinal of Best World Dance Group Brno

The Christmas Semifinal of Best World Dance Group Brno, held on Dec 13, 2025, became a true celebration and a fairytale thanks to the participants, choreographers, and parents.

Best World Dance Group thanks all participants for the high level of technical preparedness, artistic execution, and great mood, which could be felt in every competition entry.

The special Christmas atmosphere gave the competition semifinal of Best World Dance Group on Dec 13, 2025, a festive and magical touch, exactly as is fitting and proper for the pre-Christmas season.

Admirable is the imagination of the choreographers, who manage to find new and unexpected solutions and simultaneously practice every movement to perfection. Special thanks go not only for the technique but also for the distinctive artistry, which elevates children’s and youth’s work to the level of true art.

Groups presented their winning and completely new choreographies. The best ones were highly appreciated by the jury.

The jury worked in the following composition:

Ivan Popov – first soloist of the NdB Ballet, ballet master, specialist in ballet, contemporary, jazz, scenic and show dance.

Andrea Popov Smejkalová – first soloist of the NdB Ballet, laureate of the Poupě baletu award, specialist in ballet, contemporary, and scenic dance.

Anastasia Adeeva – art director of international competitions, WADF judge, casting for Disneyland, MSC and Costa, specialization in contemporary, jazz, show, street, standard, and latin.

The Cup for the Best Choreography was awarded to the choreography Rain in Your Black Eyes, choreographer Simona and Sylva Křenek, with the highest possible score of 100 points.

The Special Supplementary Jury Cup was awarded to the choreography Cesta do Afriky by the same choreographers. New and original solutions were performed with excellent technique and a great mood.

In the category Solo, Duo, Trio the winning cup and the highest jury score of 100 points went to: choreography No Mercy, choreographer Iva Kuptíková, performed by Aneta Chytráčková and Klára Chytráčková. The jury was thrilled by this number and marked it as a model of children’s work.

And as always, the charming choreography Do You Hear It Too?, also authored by Iva Kuptíková, was presented in a perfect performance by Vanesa Burdová. Here too, the highest rating of 100 points and the Cup for the Best Solo were awarded.

Category winners 6–9 years:

In the nomination SOLO the 1st place was shared by: The Field I Guard, choreographer Iva Kuptíková, performed by Justýna Hrstková, with a score of 96.7 points, and with the same number of points 96.7 also choreography Free, choreographer Kateryna Polinova, performed by Yeva Polinova.

In the group competition the winner was: nomination CONTEMPORARY – choreography Friendship, choreographer Mgr. Adéla Kubešová, with a high rating of 95 points.

Category 10–12 years – juniors

Best group: in nomination STREET – choreography Gangsta Girls, trainer and choreographer Sofiia Mazur, with a score of 91.7 points.

In categories Solo, Duo, Trio the best were: in nomination CONTEMPORARY – choreography Point, choreographer Anastasia Hončarová, performed by Miroslava Kozhanová, 1st place – 95 points.

In nomination SHOW DANCE – choreography Through the Frame, choreographer Iva Kuptíková, performed by Julie Hrstková, 1st place – 88.3 points.

In nomination FOLKLORE – choreography Teasing, choreographer Taťána Švarcová, performed by Adéla Hopianová and Eliška Ševčíková, 1st place – 83.3 points.

Category 13–15 years – TEENS

Groups: nomination EXPRESSIVE DANCE – choreography Střípky z Indie, choreographer Sylva Křenková, 1st place – 90 points.

SHOW DANCE – choreography Flight to Barcelona, leader Anastasiia Shcherbyna, 1st place – 90 points.

In category Solo, Duo, Trio – CONTEMPORARY the victory was shared by: choreography Mount Everest, choreographer Pryladysheva Daria, performed by Viktoriia Bediukh, 1st place – 93.3 points, and choreography Ordinary, choreographer Elen Jiráková, performed by Veronika Konečná, 1st place – 93.3 points.

The jury decided that the winning cup of this category will be awarded to choreography Ordinary, choreographer Elen Jiráková, performed by Veronika Konečná – 93.3 points.

Category 16–19 years

Groups: the winner became nomination EXPRESSIVE DANCE – choreography Malagueña, choreographers Simona and Sylva Křenek, 1st place – 91.7 points.

Solo, Duo, Trio: JAZZ DANCE – choreography Unchained, choreographer Iva Kuptíková, performed by Vanesa Burdová, 1st place – 95 points.

SHOW DANCE – choreography Jsme šik, choreographer Sylva Křenková, performed by Juliana Podstadská and Alžběta Mikisková, 1st place – 90 points.

The winner of this category and the entire competition in solos became choreography CONTEMPORARY – Do You Hear It Too?, choreographer Iva Kuptíková, performed by Vanesa Burdová, with the highest possible rating of 100 points.

MIXED GROUP – Groups

Category winner and cup holder: CONTEMPORARY – choreography Fallen Angels, choreographer Pryladysheva Daria, 95 points.

Winner of nomination CONTEMPORARY became choreography Nevyčnívej, 1st place – 88.3 points.

In nomination BALLET the winner was choreography Les Misérables, 1st place – 91.7 points.

In the final semifinal, advancements to the World Cup Best World Dance Group 2026 were awarded, which will take place on July 16–20, 2026, in the Italian theater of the most famous amusement park Mirabilandia.

The winners were also invited to the final cup Best World Dance Group 2025, which will be held on January 4, 2026, in Prague.
